The cottage is nestled in a rich natural ecosystem: roe deer, hedgehogs, hares, and dormice inhabit the surroundings. Dormice—similar to squirrels, not mice—find shelter among the roof tiles during the warmer months. As these animals are protected by Italian law, their presence is an integral part of this environment. Guests who are light sleepers are encouraged to bring earplugs.
